Sound of a ships sail being deployed quickly, or released into wind. Made to become one part for a harbour ambiance. Created by waving around the blanket of my bed. Recorded with focusrite scarlett and rode nt5. Slight reverb and some eq added (especially to enhance low frequencies).

Wind slapping rigging against ship masts. Birds in the distance. Sound of foot falls on gravel. Recorded at fambridge yacht haven, essex using a canon d550 camera.

To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.
